Guess who's back? Back again...
Sooooo let's start with the week number four.
Today I will talk about my work placement more than about the Brussels or its weather.
This week started with a "Work from home" job. Due to my English retake exam I wasn't able to work in the office, so I asked my supervisor to do everything I could do at home. And she agreed.
While working at home I found out that this is not the type of work I like. I feel so lazy at home, I don't have any motivation to work. I think it is due to a lot of other things I actually can do at home, and these things are more interesting than work.
Work from home..This made me think of "HOME". Person usually has only one place, where it feels like home. But I have two of these places. One is my flat back to Latvia, and the other one is just a small room in Deventer. I felt so warm and cozy when I came from Brussels to Deventer. I felt like home, I wanted to stay there and didn't want to go back to Brussels.

But the time came, after a couple of days in the Netherlands, I needed to go back and start my
work in the office. But do you now what people say in my country? Your thoughts are material, everything you think can became a reality.
The train to Brussels was cancelled. I didn't want to go back, so I couldn't. Isn't it nice huh?
Yeah you wouldn't think so if you would be outside going back home, while it is raining and cold.
But still I was happy :D
Tuesday became the second "work from home" day. My supervisor said that it is fine I can stay at home and work from there, because she will also stay at home due to the public strike in Brussels.
Do you think it is the fate or just a coincidence?
I also feel better in the Netherlands because of the prices. When I first came to the Netherlands, I thought that the prices there are really high. And they were, compared to my home country, but then I went to Brussels, and understood that my thoughts about the prices in the Netherlands were wrong. Belgium, especially Brussels, is more expensive. For everything you buy, you need to pay almost a double Dutch price.

But now let's move on to my study. This week I also started to think about my Minor, I will have to do, as requires my University. I think if I will go to Denmark, even Belgium prices will be cheap compared to them :D I started to think about the country and Universities I would like to go. It is one new opportunity to visit new country and discover new culture. I am thinking about going to Denmark and study there for 6 months. I heard that Denmark is the happiest country in the world. I want to check it. Maybe you have some suggestions on which country to visit?

I had to come back to Brussels, so on Tuesday I finally caught the train to Brussels. And now back to the work placement. This week was the the last week for the companies to apply for the Benelux Venture Forum event, the deadline was extended a bit. We finally got the number of companies we aimed for, and I thing this is an achievement for the company and for me as well. I am really looking forward to seeing what is
going to happen in Maastricht at this event. I will let you all know in November :)
I think this is enough for today. I already got some ideas for the next weekly blog. Hope you will enjoy it.
This week fact:
New York, New York! Yes, it was founded by Belgian, Peter Minuit in 1626. Minuit was appointed an explorer for the Dutch West India Company and went to the Americas in search of tradable goods.
